CELPIP Preparation Tips for Speaking and Writing
The CELPIP checks everyday English in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Clear, organized answers matter more than long ones.
Speaking
- Plan your answer in a few seconds: opening, two points, closing.
- Record yourself and listen back for clarity and pace.
- Practice speaking about everyday topics such as work, community and daily life.
Writing
- Spend a minute planning before you type.
- Use short paragraphs with one idea each.
- Leave a moment at the end to check spelling and punctuation.
Listening and Reading
For Listening, practice taking short notes during a recording. For Reading, find the main idea first and the details second.
